From Teyana to Timothée — best dressed at the Actor Awards 2026

Welcome back to the SAG Awards, now officially known as the Actor Awards, the only awards ceremony where honours are given to actors, by actors.

This is the reason for its 2026 name change, which the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists has explained as “to better reflect its true spirit.” Indeed, until this year, many non-industry observers had no idea the SAG Awards were chosen by actors.

It’s also the only major awards ceremony to come with a dress code (other than “black tie”, which is a given for most awards events), another new addition for 2026. This year’s dress code was “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour from the '20s and '30s.”

How very Met Gala of them. Luckily, it was an easy theme to stick to, and it made for a far more cohesive red carpet.

The One Battle After Another cast members were once again on top form, with Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti continuing their run as the best-dressed stars this awards season. Teyana Taylor looked fit for a plinth in a statuesque silver and beige dress by Thom Browne, comprised of a swirling bodice and sequin skirt, while Chase Infiniti shimmered in a nude, crystal-embellished high-neck gown by Louis Vuitton, complete with De Beers jewellery and a matching headpiece.

Along with the Old Hollywood theme, boudoir dressing became evident as the other outstanding style of the night. Jenna Ortega took to the red carpet wearing a deconstructed ivory slip dress and sheer knee-night socks by Christian Cowan, and Mia Goth stole the show with an embellished mesh gown by Dior, featuring a sheer overlay on top of hot pink silk (plus a bustle, because it’s Jonathan Anderson’s Dior).

Elsewhere, Kate Hudson was a Grecian vision in cream Valentino, Jessie Buckley was clouded beautifully in Balenciaga, and Gwyneth Paltrow reminded everyone of her red carpet prowess with a plunging black gown by Givenchy.

The men were pleasingly varied, with Timothée Chalamet donning a slightly dishevelled (but oh-so understated) white Prada suit jacket with black trousers, Michael B. Jordan opting for a perfectly cinched grey number from Tom Ford, Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie going shirtless in Saint Laurent, and Charlie Hunnam stepping out in blue velvet Brioni.
