Out of the snow and back into the warmth, Australian cyclist Michael Storer couldn't quite get hot again as his valiant bid to finish on the Paris-Nice podium fell short in cycling's celebrated 'Race to the Sun'.
The resurgent Storer gave it his all again on the final stage of one of the sport's great races on Sunday following his memorable penultimate-stage, mountain-top triumph 24 hours earlier when he ended up shivering in delight amid a snowfall.
But ultimately, the Tudor Pro rider couldn't repeat his sensational Saturday triumph, having to settle for a hard-earned fourth place on the final bumpy stage down into the sunshine of Nice's Promenade des Anglais which earned him a superb fifth place overall.
