Sen. Mitch McConnell has been discharged from a rehabilitation center and is continuing his recovery at home after a prolonged hospitalization following a fall and a bout of pneumonia.
The 84-year-old Kentucky Republican was hospitalized after a June 14 fall at his home that briefly left him unconscious. He was subsequently treated for pneumonia before moving into rehabilitation, where he underwent intensive physical therapy. On August 6, McConnell announced that he had been discharged from the rehabilitation center and would continue his recovery at home.
