From 700% gains to a 50% plunge: China's AI stocks are crashing despite Beijing's tech ambitions. Here's why

There is a sudden turnaround happening in the artificial intelligence trend in China where some of the best technology stocks of the country have lost almost half of their market value due to the gains made by them. This decline in the sector is putting up a doubt on whether the optimism about the artificial intelligence plan of the country has valued the firms above their actual worth. The extent of the decline is quite noteworthy. As per a news report published by Reuters the STAR50 index of China tracking technology and semiconductor firms has declined by almost 40% in just three and a half months.

The decline has led to the loss of $480 billion in market value.
