Fresh faces, a T20 World Cup and the first Test tour of South Africa since the ball-tampering saga all loom as Australia uses 2026 to lay the groundwork for a legacy-defining 2027.

After the Ashes series finishes in Sydney next week, Pat Cummins' men will need to wait seven months for their next Test, the first of two home matches against Bangladesh in August.
