Katie Price says she was warned off Peter Andre in an unearthed I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! exit interview.
The glamour model, who previously went by the name of Jordan, was one of the campmates on the ITV reality show back in 2004, alongside the Australian singer.
They struck up a sweet friendship while in the jungle, and their relationship soon turned romantic, and they were spotted cosying up to one another while in the camp.
Katie was voted off the show, finishing in fifth place, and in her post-exit interview with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, she was quizzed on her budding romance with Peter.
Blushing as they showed viewers a montage of their relationship in the jungle, Katie said she arrived in the camp “annoyed” at her then-boyfriend Scott Sullivan, and she insisted she was “only human” as she discussed her attraction to Peter.
Katie revealed she was “warned” about the singer before she entered the camp, and said she was blown away by her first impressions of Peter.
“He’s totally not what I thought he’d be. He’s a lot better… he’s a nice guy,” she said.
But she insisted that they had no plans to take their relationship further once the singer was out of the jungle.
“I think he’s gorgeous, good looking, he’s the type I’d got for, but I have said ‘I've got a boyfriend’, so I’ll sort things out…” she said, trailing off, before cracking into a huge smile.
She was grilled by Ant and Dec, who accused her of stringing Peter along, as he was single and looking for love, but Katie already had a boyfriend.
She insisted her attraction to the Mysterious Girl hitmaker was mutual, and changed her mind as she told the TV duo she would contemplate meeting up with Peter when he was out of the jungle.
And when they aired a clip of Peter talking about his feelings for Katie with fellow campmate Kerry Katona, the singer could be seen smoking - something which was previously unknown about the Aussie star.
“I do think he’s really nice, and if we come out of here and perhaps we will go for dinner and that, but I have got a boyfriend,” she stated.
Just two days later, Peter was voted out of the jungle - finishing in third place - and Katie was forced to have a showdown with boyfriend Scott over her flirty behaviour during her stint on the show, and they later split.
Katie and Peter then became inseparable, and wed just one year later in an extravagant ceremony at Highclere Castle in Hampshire, with their entire relationship was filmed for their ITV2 reality series.
They tied the knot just a few months after Katie welcomed their first child, son Junior, and in June 2007, they became parents once again, as the model gave birth to daughter Princess.
However, they announced their shock split in May 2009, and their divorce was finalised in September.
The couple have remained civil over the years for the sake of their children, but a nasty war of words erupted earlier this year when Katie called Peter’s second wife Emily a “disgusting person”.
“Emily you are not and never will be my kids’ parent so mind your own business, your so two faced and definitely not the person you portray to the public,” she said in a vicious rant on social media.
