Fresh appeal to help solve Manchester's most mysterious missing person cases

A fresh appeal is being made to help solve some of Greater Manchester’s most mysterious missing person cases.

The M.E.N has teamed up with the Missing People charity in a bid to try and help shed new light on those who have gone missing.

In each case, a family have been left desperate to know where their loved one is after they suddenly disappeared.

It is hoped by featuring the cases once again, new leads may be generated which can give answers to those left behind.

Luis Marciel, 52, disappeared in January 2013 from a house he shared in Salford.

The dad-of-one told his housemate he was thinking of returning to his native Brazil where his ex-wife and daughter live.

But three months after he left Salford, his family contacted his housemate to say he had never arrived there.

Ethan Graham, 18, disappeared after withdrawing a large amount of money from his bank account, which had been left him by his grandmother.

He had been living with his uncle in Manchester for a number of years after the death of his mother when he went missing.

He was last seen after taking a taxi to Piccadilly Station on February 6, 2012 - but then disappeared.

In the days before going missing he had changed his appearance, including cutting his previously long hair very short.

James Mcewan, 67, went missing after going to Manchester Dogs’ Home to see if he could find his lost dog, Brutus.

James, who is of slim build and usually unshaven, would often wear a grey fleece, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The grandad-of-three had gone to the shelter in Harpurhey, north Manchester, from his home on Cottesmore Drive in Crumpsall, but was told to return in an hour when the shelter would be open to the public.

However, he never went back and has not been seen since that day on October 29, 2011.

Martin Joyce (Missing Persons charity)

Martin Joyce, 33, went missing from his home in Manchester on January 1, 2006.

Aged 33 when he disappeared, it is thought he could be in either Ireland or Scotland.

Kadia Diane, 16, went missing on October 2012 from Manchester.

She had been living in a residential unit and attending school.

On the day of her disappearance she said she was going to the cinema - but never returned.

Anyone with information on any of these cases, or if you are one of those missing, is asked to call or text Missing People free on 116 000.
