Frenkie de Jong returns home from break amid Manchester United transfer interest

Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong has returned home from his holiday in the United States, with the next few days likely to decide whether the club will land the exciting Dutch midfielder.

United’s pursuit of the midfielder has been one of the worst kept secrets in football, with the Reds and new manager Erik ten Hag having identified him as an ideal target as he begins his rebuild.

Supporters have had to remain patient, with the club having been in discussion with Barcelona for almost two months now, and rumours continue to swirl with the momentum seeming to shift each day towards whether he'll stay in Spain or join United.
