Chelsea gain De Jong boost
In the race for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, Chelsea might have been given some new encouragement amid interest from the Blues and Premier League rival Manchester United.
According to Rob Pratley, De Jong is "close to accepting that he has to leave FC Barcelona" this summer. De Jong's preference is apparently to remain with the La Liga club, but due to their financial restrictions, the need for a sale could force action before deadline day.
Barcelona president Laporta stated that "Frenkie's our player, and we want him to stay at Barcelona. He wants to stay too."

Dortmund in Hudson-Odoi talks
After reports emerged that Callum Hudson-Odoi has asked to leave Chelsea in search of first-team minutes, a number of clubs have already been linked, with Southampton and Leicester showing interest.
Outside of England, Borussia Dortmund are another club in talks with his representatives, according to Sky Sports. But the 21-year-old forward will talk to all interested parties before making a decision on his next move.
Hudson-Odoi was left out of the squad by Thomas Tuchel for the opening Premier League game at Everton.
Werner close to Leipzig return
It appears that Timo Werner is close to a Bundesliga return with his former club, RB Leipzig. Reports widely emerged on Sunday afternoon that Leipzig had hit a breakthrough over signing the forward permanently, with a fee of £30m likely to be heading Chelsea's way.
