It might come as little consolation to Chelsea fans that Barcelona's financial irresponsibility might finally catch up with them after missing out on Raphinha and Jules Kounde, but it may offer a bit of karma at the end of a frustrating summer.
As per Barcelona-based reporter Alfredo Martínez, midfielder Frenkie de Jong could hand the Spanish giants a huge problem in registering the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Kounde if he refuses to leave or take a wage cut given the financial restrictions imposed by La Liga.
At a general level, no one in the wider football community should have any sympathy for Barcelona.
