NEW DELHI: Novak Djokovic on Sunday created history by winning a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title at the French Open. In the summit clash, Djokovic defeated Norway's Casper Ruud in straight sets 7-6 (1), 6-3, 7-5 to win his third Roland Garros title.

The 36-year-old surpassed his long-time rival on the court, Rafael Nadal to become the most successful male tennis player in history.
