French Open: No-handshake diplomacy earns Kasatkina boos

PARIS: Daria Kasatkina wanted to make it easier for Ukraine's flag bearer Elina Svitolina. At the end of their fourth-round Roland Garros meeting, the Russian walked to her courtside seat and packed her bags. The 26-yearold didn't press the Ukrainian for the traditional post match handshake either.

Svitolina looked at Kasatkina and mouthed words of appreciation before giving her the thumbs-up. The Russian nodded and returned the gesture.
