On the first arts24 music show of the year, Jennifer Ben Brahim chats with French composer, conductor and producer Thomas Roussel. He weaves between classical and electronic genres, and has performed in spectacular locations such as China's Forbidden City, as well as conducting an orchestra on the River Seine. 2023 saw the start of a beautiful musical relationship between Roussel and US superstar Pharrell Williams – Roussel conducted the orchestra for Pharrell's first runway collection for Louis Vuitton, on Paris's iconic Pont Neuf bridge. He has also just released a track with British singer Jamilah Barry called "No Artificial Light", a nod to 1990s breakbeat sounds.
