Canadian-Haitian writer Thélyson Orélien this week denied using artificial intelligence to write parts of his book "It Was Either That or Die" – which has won several French literary awards – after being targeted by accusations from an anonymous online account.

Orélien, a previously unknown writer whose debut is set to appear in more than 20 countries, was accused by an anonymous X (formerly Twitter) account called "Balance ton Claude" of using AI to produce the novel "almost entirely".
