The French Football Federation on Thursday pulled its support for Gianni Infantino's bid for re-election as the head of international football body FIFA. Infantino has been under fire from national and regional football institutions for weeks over his handling of a red-card case and his now-abandoned plans to sell stakes in the World Cup to private interests.

France will not support the candidacy of Gianni Infantino, who is running for a new term as FIFA president in March 2027, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Thursday.
