Free Covid lateral flow tests will continue - but end date could be confirmed in weeks

Covid lateral flow tests will continue to be free beyond February 24 despite all domestic Covid laws being axed.

Downing Street confirmed people will not yet have to pay for the rapid tests, in order to give people confidence to go out and see friends and family.

But the Mirror understands a timescale for phasing out free testing could be addressed in a “living with Covid” document, to be unveiled by Boris Johnson on February 21.
