The first ever free Christmas Carnival is comes to Wollaton Park - in July. The festive season might be five months away but the build-up is beginning early this year.
The summer event celebrates the launch of Christmas at Wollaton 2023, the illuminated Yuletide trail around the grounds, with the chance for visitors to meet the meat and enjoy some festive fun on Saturday, July 8, from 10am to 3pm.
Organisers said: "This one-of-a-kind free event promises a day filled with joy, entertainment, and memorable experiences, marking a significant milestone in Nottingham's festive countdown."

Wollaton's Summer Christmas Carnival is Nottingham's first-ever event of its kind, designed to bring the community together in celebration of the holiday season and talk directly to team behind the light trail including creative director Katherine Jewkes.
The event will feature a School Choir Competition, open to all primary schools across Nottingham, with the winners performing on the opening night of Christmas at Wollaton on Friday December 1 at 5.30pm.
The winning school will also receive 100 free tickets for opening night, worth £1,500. Schools interested in entering are asked to email christmasatwollaton@edenpr.co.uk
There will also be a range of exciting activities for families including a giant snow globe, a steel band, themed games, and a very special guest in a rare, off-season sighting.
Now in its fourth year, Christmas at Wollaton, has become a much-loved Christmas tradition for many in the East Midlands. This year the team is revamping the event, taking on board visitor feedback.
