The Arizona Cardinals didn’t make the playoffs but 2024 Arizona Cardinals players might be playing on postseason teams right now. NFL free agency begins in March and many players on playoff teams could help the Cardinals with their offseason needs.
The San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers played Saturday night.
Here are some impending free agents from both teams.
Packer G Jon Runyan
The Cardinals need to address left guard this offseason. Runyan is an upgrade.
Packers CB Keisean Nixon
Nixon started 13 games for the Packers this season and had 80 tackles an interception and six pass breakups. He is also one of the most dynamic returners in the league.
49ers DE Chase Young
Young comes to an end of his rookie contract. He was the second overall pick in 2020 and is a very talented pass rusher but injuries have kept him from having more than 7.5 sacks in a season — his rookie year and this year.
After getting traded to the 49ers, he had five sacks in seven games.
The Cardinals are desperate for pass-rushing talent. Young is a high-ceiling player who perhaps won’t command top money.
49ers DT Sebastian Joseph-Day
Joseph-Day played most of the season for the Chargers but was released in December and signed by the Niners. He had three sacks and 36 tackles on the season.
He has been a starter his whole career and the Cardinals need starting-caliber defensive linemen.
49ers TE Charlie Woerner
Woerner is a blocking tight end. The Cardinals need a blocking tight end.
