Freddie Prinze Jr. Celebrates 48Th Birthday With Career Highlights

New comic book highlights the life and career of football star Travis Kelce

Freddie Prinze Jr., the talented actor known for his work in TV, movies, and voice acting, celebrates his 48th birthday on March 8. Born in Los Angeles in 1976 to parents Kathy and Freddie Prinze, he began his on-screen career with a role in a 1995 episode of Family Matters.

In 1997, Prinze Jr. made waves with appearances in projects like The House of Yes, Detention: The Siege at Johnson High, and the popular film I Know What You Did Last Summer, where he starred alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ryan Phillippe, as well as his future wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar.

His leading man status was solidified in 1999 with the romantic comedy She's All That, followed by roles in Summer Catch and the live-action Scooby-Doo film in 2002. Prinze Jr. also made a memorable guest appearance on Friends as a manny to Ross and Rachel's baby.

Transitioning to TV, he appeared in Boston Legal and headlined the series Freddie in 2005. He later joined the cast of 24 in 2010, though he admitted to having a challenging experience on the show.

Aside from acting, Prinze Jr. delved into writing for WWE Smackdown! due to his passion for wrestling. In recent years, he returned to episodic TV with the Punky Brewster reboot in 2021, citing his connection to the script and cast as reasons for his return.

Prinze Jr. and Gellar, who have been married for 21 years, share two children, Charlotte and Rocky. The couple celebrated their milestone anniversary with a social media tribute, showcasing their enduring love and commitment.
