Freddie Mercury’s iconic costumes to be displayed at new London exhibition

A selection of Freddie Mercury’s costumes are going on display at the V&A to mark what would have been the Queen frontman’s 80th birthday.

The free temporary trail, Freddie Mercury Splendid Things, will showcase eight of his looks and is inspired by a statement he made in 1978, where he said: "I like to be surrounded by splendid things. I want to lead a Victorian life surrounded by exquisite clutter."
