Fraudsters impersonating gardaí call to Irish houses amid severe warning to older people

Garda

Gardaí are warning members of the public about an increase in the number of people impersonating members of the force.

Several such incidents have taken place recently in the Laois/Offaly Garda division which targeted a number of older people.

In a statement gardai outlined how the conmen are operating.
