Frantic search for missing Edinburgh man after van found in Aberdeen

A van belonging to a man who is missing from Edinburgh has been located in Aberdeen four days after he was last seen.

Callum Laird, 24, was last seen in Edinburgh on Friday, May 5. It is believed Callum may have travelled to Aberdeen.

His vehicle, a white Volkswagon Caddy van, was located in the Gallowgate area of the city around 12.50pm on Tuesday, May 9.

He is described as being around 6ft 1in tall, of slim build with blonde hair and a beard. He speaks with an English accent. The clothing he was wearing is unknown.

Inspector Susan Taylor said: “Our enquiries to trace Callum and we are appealing for anyone who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who has seen someone matching Callum’s description to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 3381 of 9 May, 2023.
