Frank Lampard questioned the decision from referee Stuart Attwell to deny his team a penalty in their Premier League defeat against Liverpool at Anfield.
Anthony Gordon was at the centre of things on both occasions. The winger was booked for a dive in the first half after going to ground in the Liverpool box, before seeing further claims denied in the second period when he went down under Joel Matip's challenge.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was convinced neither challenge deserved a penalty. Lampard wasn't so sure, though, while Gordon himself made his case after a defeat which left the Merseyside club up against it as they aim to stay in the Premier League.
"I think it was [a penalty]," Lampard told Sky Sports after the game. "I've not seen how clear-cut it was."
Klopp, however, disagreed with his counterpart, and was unwavering in his assessment. "It [the second] was clearly no penalty," he told BBC Sport.
"He's really good but he's lucky not to get a second yellow. The first was not a penalty and the second wasn't."

"We could have had a penalty, in my opinion," Gordon said. "But sometimes they just go against you and that's just how football is at times.
"The second [appeal] was the strongest because he [Matip] stood on my foot. Clearly, I've gone one v one with him and got the better of him and he's stood on my foot, which has caused me severe pain and I've gone down.
"The first one, I've watched back. I've felt the contact and went down, but from a few angles I can see why [the referee] hasn't given it. But it's certainly not a yellow card because it's not a dive."
Everton's defeat left them in the bottom three, with Lampard's side dropping to 18th when Burnley beat Wolves earlier in the day. Their manager insisted their fight against the drop was far from over, though, and he praised his team's display despite the outcome.
"We are not in a position to go toe-to-toe with Liverpool," he said. "We were smart for 60 minutes and then it becomes very difficult after that.
"[Our league position] will be talked about, but we had to assume Burnley would win today. [16th place] Leeds are still in it, they play tomorrow [against Crystal Palace ].
"We had to expect Burnley might win. 18 points for us to fight for. Important for us, fans and club to not get sucked into it in a negative way. We must be realistic. With the attitude we showed today, and a few things go our way..."
