Striker sends Frank Lampard reminder before Everton return
An on-loan Everton star impressed over the weekend to clinch man-of-the-match in a Scottish Cup semi-final.
Goodison starlet Ellis Simms helped Hearts to victory over Hibernian in a derby clash with a wondergoal from outside the box. One of the key moments of the game came as Everton striker Simms opened the scoring with a 20-yard first-half strike that had supporters of his parent club brimming with excitement across social media.
Simms, who in November signed a new deal set to keep him at Everton until 2024 and will be looking to impress Frank Lampard when he returns to the club in the summer, went on to earn the official man-of-the-match award for his efforts.

Frank Lampard set for double Everton boost against Leicester City
Everton are set to be handed a double boost ahead of the club's important game with Leicester City on Wednesday.
The Blues could move six points clear of the bottom three with a victory at Goodison Park after Burnley conceded a late equaliser at West Ham on Sunday. Burnley, the biggest threat to Everton's Premier League survival, failed to take advantage of an opportunity to move within one point of them after leading for much of their match at the London Stadium.
But with the Clarets hosting two home games this week - against Southampton then Wolves - a win for Everton against Leicester could still be vital.
Ahead of that match, Frank Lampard is expected to have two players back in contention for his starting line up. Lampard had previously earmarked Wednesday's game as the possible return date for Yerry Mina.
The centre back has struggled with injuries this season and has been missed while out of action. Speaking ahead of Everton's victory over Manchester United Lampard was hopeful the centre back would be available for the April 20 tie at Goodison Park.
And pictures from Finch Farm, released by the club on Friday, showed the Colombia international enjoying himself as he joined the first team in training, suggesting his return could still be on the cards.
Meanwhile, Lampard is also due to welcome back Donny van de Beek. The midfielder, on loan from Manchester United, had been missing through injury after withdrawing from the starting line-up minutes before Everton's game at West Ham on April 3. He was then ineligible to play in Everton's most recent game - the victory over Manchester United - as he was unable to play against his parent club. The latest images from Finch Farm captured van de Beek in action in training.
