An Everton fan was asked to become a sub on the team after being pranked by Michael McIntyre's Big Show.
An unsuspecting Evertonian got more than he bargained for after turning up to a standard game which resulted in him momentarily joining the team. Paul Stratton has done amazing work to help the people of Ukraine in their struggle and was therefore rewarded by his friends and family who put his name forward for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Paul arrived at Goodison Park ready for a match but was abruptly confronted by a member of Everton staff who revealed the team was a man down. Paul was asked whether or not he wanted to fill a space on the sub bench but quickly asked, "Is this a joke?"

Eventually confirming his interest, Paul was taken backstage to 'officially' sign papers to make him a part of the pre-season team. To finalise the documentation, Frank Lampard, who was manager at the time of recording, joined the room, leaving Paul flustered.
Frank provided Paul with his own shirt, signed the papers, took a photograph and then ushered his new signing to the bench on the field. The park was in on the prank and cheered for Paul as he made his way to the touchline, following Frank's requests.
Limbering up in the background while the game raged on, he even stopped to sign several photographs. Nearing the end of the match, Everton was awarded a penalty and asked for the assistance of Paul on the field.
After a round of applause from the fans, he positioned himself ready to shoot and scored the goal, closing the evening on a high note. Drawing the night to an end, Michael McIntyre revealed himself to the fan backstage which resulted in tears.
The BBC spun back around to the Michael McIntyre Big Show studios where the pair were ready and waiting to discuss everything that went down at Goodison. Paul said: "Unbelievable. At the time it was all a bit of a blur."
The comedian rewarded the lifelong fan with his own framed Everton shirt signed by the team and thanked him for being such a good sport as Paul received a standing ovation for his dedication and charity work.
