Everton have got a huge job to do in the summer, an absolutely massive one.
The club came very close to going down and did so for a number of reasons. Looking back at what happened this season, the club was hit with a perfect storm. There was the appointment of Rafa Benitez and the fans tried to back him but, unfortunately, results count and that put Everton on the back foot. We have had a lot of disappointments, a lot of suspensions and we had injuries to Yerry Mina and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in particular - his loss cost a lot of goals.
The Arsenal game saw Everton pick a different team and the lads have put a lot of effort in over recent months. But it also highlighted issues - things like set pieces. Arsenal can play football through you, they have players who can pass the ball around, but three of their goals came from corners. So set pieces are clearly something Everton need to work on.
