Frank Green has been all across our feeds recently. The brand has been rolling out product after product, from colour-changing bottles to a collaboration with Laneige that was basically the Aussie solution for Rhode’s lip gloss phone case — a water bottle with a lip gloss holder. And to top it all off, Frank Green came out with a Hello Kitty and Friends collection that stole our hearts (and our wallets).
The industry said take five, and Frank Green heard ‘change lives’.
The collection featured not only a Hello Kitty design, but the cutesy Cinnamoroll and Kuromi, too.
“Our community are huge fans — and we were obsessed with capturing the magic of Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll,” said Benjamin Young, founder and CEO of Frank Green.
The collection featured three different designs, one for each character. Hello Kitty’s bright red bottle is filled with cute little icons including bees, telephones, snails, flowers, birds and cookies. Kuromi’s bottle is a lilac purple with skulls, lightning, hearts, and music notes — everything the character loves.
Cinnamoroll’s light blue bottle is a lot simpler, with the character popping out of a cloud. There’s also Cinnamoroll’s friend, Mocha, on the other side of the bottle.
There were six reusable drinkware pieces in the Hello Kitty and Friends Collection: three one-litre ceramic reusable water bottles and three 355mL ceramic reusable coffee cups — so you can mix or match your bottle and coffee cup.
The downside?
Once they dropped, they sold out bloody quickly.
But I’m not here to bring you old (and shitty) news. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel!
Frank Green is restocking its Hello Kitty water bottles right in time for Lunar New Year, and its extending its range… kinda. There’ll be two new water bottles joining the OG 34 oz bottle — a 16 oz and 20 oz option — and they all come with the flip lid. So while we won’t be getting a Cinnamoroll, Kuromi or Hello Kitty coffee cup restock, we’ll be seeing our favourite kitty on two new bottles!
The restock drops on February 17, and if last time is any indication of how quickly these new Hello Kitty Frank Green bottles are going to sell, I wouldn’t wait around to get your paws on one.
