French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu will address the nation on Wednesday evening as part of his government's drive to end the wave of student blockades, which have closed high schools throughout the country.

Lecornu is also expected to address soaring fuel prices, problems on French farms following the summer's droughts and the country’s financial situation, with the cost of debt on the rise.
