France vs Denmark lineups: Confirmed team news, starting XIs and injury latest for World Cup 2022 today

France are without Lucas Hernandez as they face Denmark in their second World Cup clash.

The left-back ruptured his ACL in the opening win over Australia and will miss the rest of the tournament, meaning his brother Theo Hernandez comes into the starting lineup as France look to take a huge step towards sealing top spot in Group D.

The front four is the same against Denmark, with Kylian Mbappe getting a goal and an assist against Australia and Olivier Giroud netting a brace. Les Blues showed no signs of missing Karim Benzema, who was ruled out of the World Cup with a thigh injury.

Raphael Varane partners Dayot Upamecano in the centre of defence, and Jules Kounde comes in at right-back as Benjamin Pavard drops out.

As for Denmark, midfielder Thomas Delaney will play no further part in the tournament, the knee injury he suffered against Tunisia serious enough to end his World Cup.

Jesper Lindstrom comes into the side, while Mikkel Damsgaard and Andreas Cornelius, who missed a huge chance in the previous match, both start.

The back-five lineup offered very little attacking threat last time out, so a big improvement is needed from the Danes.

France XI: Lloris, Kounde, Varane, Upamecano, Hernandez, Tchouameni, Rabiot, Griezmann, Dembele, Mbappe, Giroud.

Denmark XI: Schmeichel, Andersen, Nelsson, Christensen, Kristensen, Hojbjerg, Lindstrom, Maehle, Eriksen, Damsgaard, Cornelius
