France v Ireland player ratings as Les Bleus win Six Nations clash in Paris

Ireland fell just short of France in Paris on Saturday evening.

Andy Farrell's side lost out 30-24 in a thriller in Paris.

Mack Hansen opened the scoring for Ireland and two quickfire tries from Josh van der Flier and Jamison Gibson-Park gave Ireland some life.

France did run in a second half try themselves as well as a number of penalties as Ireland fell just short.

And here is how the player fares.

Another quiet-ish day for the full-back on the back of a similar outing against Wales - 7

Andrew Conway

Brilliant kick-chasing and always a threat in attack, carrying for 47 metres - 7

Garry Ringrose

Eleven carries for 65 metres and, again, like last week three missed tackles - 7

Bundee Aki

Put his heart and soul into defence in the first-half, one of Ireland most physical operators - 8

Mack Hansen

Showed last week was not just some flash in the pan, always looking for work. GAA skill for try! - 8

Joey Carbery

Pleased the coach who left him until the 79th minute. Superb goal-kicking - 7

Jamison Gibson Park

Overcame a slowish start to score a brilliant, Antoine Dupont-esque try. - 8

Andrew Porter

Was up against a behemoth at scrum time and battled valiantly. Nine tackles, no misses. - 8

Ronan Kelleher

Picked up an HIA after 26 minutes, replaced by Dan Sheahan who was excellent. - n/a

Tadhg Furlong

Trademark carries limited to three for five metres. Seven tackles, one miss. - 8

Tadhg Beirne

Absolute nuisance at the breakdown and highly prominent in attack throughout. - 9

James Ryan

Led for the front with a big performance, his 12 tackles without a miss was outstanding. - 8

Caelan Doris

By far and away Ireland best player on the park in the first half, his defence was superb. - 9

Josh van der Flier

His marker of 16 tackles simply adds to the case for his being the best no7 in Europe.- 9

Jack Conan

Part of a hard working back-row until picking up a knock early in the second-gap half. 7
