France will expel two Iranian diplomats in the coming days in response to Iran's decision to bar two French embassy staff from returning to Tehran, Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot has said.

"Two Iranian diplomats in France will be expelled in the coming days," Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said in a post on X on Tuesday, adding the move was a consequence of the "intolerable" treatment of the French diplomats who were briefly detained last month in Tehran over accusations of "interference".
