France will play Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday after overcoming Morocco.

In a tight game, left-back Theo Hernandez scored the opening goal of this semi-final in the fifth minute and Randal Kolo Muani sealed the win late on.

Other than that, the two sides could not really be separated and Morocco will feel they could have won this match - or at least sent into to extra-time.

As it was, France claimed a 2-0 win and they will now go on to face Argentina in Sunday’s World Cup final at Lusail Stadium.

Hugo Lloris 8

Made two excellent saves in the first-half when France were rocking.

Jules Kounde 6

Just doesn’t look like a right-back. Struggled, but did well late on to clear one off the line.

Raphael Varane 8

A rock in the heart of France’s defence. Made some big blocks.

Ibrahima Konate 9 | Star player

Came in for Dayot Upamecano and was excellent. Could keep his place for final.

Theo Hernandez 7

Scored the all important goal, but had a tough night defensively.

Aurelien Tchouameni 8

Had a good game at the heart of France’s midfield, especially in the first-half.

Youssouf Fofana 6

Came in for Adrien Rabiot but couldn’t replicate what he offers, especially defensively.

Ousmane Dembele 6

Not really involved in the game as much as he’d have liked to be.

Antoine Griezmann 7

Played a key role in France’s opening goal. Found pockets of space all night.

Kylian Mbappe 7

Made a few great runs and had a big hand in France’s second goal.

Olivier Giroud 6

The hero against England, but not tonight. Hit the post and missed another good chance.

Substitutions

Marcus Thruam (Giroud 65’) 6

Came on and put in a good shift out left, giving Hernandez help in defence.

Kolo Muani (Dembele 79’) 7

Off the bench and made himself a hero by scoring his first ever goal for France.
