Fantasy Premier League is back with gameweek 4 creating some intriguing games for managers ahead of this morning’s deadline.
Southampton and Manchester United get things underway on Saturday afternoon with an 11am BST deadline for transfers. FPL highlights this round include Liverpool and Manchester City both at home, against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.
Gabriel Jesus and Co welcome Fulham to Arsenal on Saturday evening before Tottenham travel to Nottingham Forest to round off the gameweek.
Ilkay Gundogan - Man City - £7.6m
Woe betide the Crystal Palace defenders preparing for Saturday’s trip to Manchester City. Focus too much on Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne scores. Focus too much on De Bruyne and Haaland and, as has happened twice already this season, Gundogan scores. But be warned, a midweek set of fixtures after GW4 could lead to some Pep rotation...
Bukayo Saka - Arsenal - £7.9m
Listen, almost 82 per cent of FPL players have Gabriel Jesus. Putting him down as a transfer tip would be like recommending that you drink water, breathe oxygen and occasionally blink. You don’t need me to tell you (although you should captain him, if you haven’t already). Therefore the question is how best to double up on the goal-hungry Arsenal attackers and Saka is yet to fully shine with a mere 15 per-cent ownership, making him a decent differential ahead of facing Fulham at home.
Luis Diaz - Liverpool - £8m
Like Saka, Diaz is primed for his first breakout performance of the season with Liverpool desperate to bounce back from their bad start at home to Bournemouth. Last season, three of his four goals and two of his three assists came at Anfield.
Rodrigo Moreno - Leeds - £6.3m
The no-doubter of the week, managers are pouring towards the Leeds section of FPL with Jack Harrison, Brenden Aaronson and Rodrigo all racking up points. Their fine scoring start cannot last forever and a stout Brighton defence is next up, but with Rodrigo playing up front while officially being a midfielder he offers prime value.
Ivan Perisic - Tottenham - £5.5m
Wily FPL managers dropped the Croatian into their team last week ahead of a 12-point haul for his full Tottenham debut and a trip to Nottingham Forest offers more opportunities at both ends.
