FPL Tips For Gameweek 11: Holly Shand Eyes The Best Forwards

As Erling Haaland continues to falter, with just one goal involvement in the last five gameweeks, there’s plenty of cheaper forwards with mouthwatering fixtures this weekend. So, for those managers selling Haaland this week, who are the top striker FPL tips to replace him with?

FPL Tips With Holly Shand – Four Gameweek 11 Forwards To Have On Your Radar

See below four striker FPL tips to potentially replace Erling Haaland with ahead of Gameweek 11 from @HollyShand – meaning you could free up some much-needed cash for other areas of your side.

Dominic Solanke vs Ipswich Town (H)

Spurs have the fixture of the weekend as they host promoted Ipswich Town at home, making Dominic Solanke an exciting prospect. Spurs fixtures are a little mixed in the long term, but they have the form to carry them through the more challenging games.

It’s Spurs home form which makes them so impressive, scoring 15 goals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the highest tally in the league, with Solanke having a hand in four of those. He has six goal involvements in seven games since returning from injury.

Solanke’s underlying numbers have been excellent this season. He’s had ten big chances on goal in eight starts and sits fourth of all players for expected goals. Meanwhile Ipswich Town have conceded a league high 28 big chances in their away visits this season.

Chris Wood vs Newcastle United (H)

Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood continues to thrive this season and he’s mine next of my Gameweek 11 FPL tips

He has scored eight goals, including five in the last four gameweeks. Only Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer have more league goals since Nuno Espirito Santo took charge at the City Ground last December.

Wood’s underlying numbers suggest that those returns are sustainable: he ranks third among forwards for big chances on goal with 11, and for shots on target with 14. He is more prolific on home turf, with goals in four of five games and just one blank.

Wood has recently added penalties to his locker and given his record it’s likely that he will stay ahead of Morgan Gibbs-White in the pecking order, who has recently returned from injury. Wood scored a hat-trick against Newcastle United last season.

Yoanne Wissa vs Bournemouth (H)

Brentford are in a rich vein of form at home, scoring 15 goals at the Gtech Community Stadium, plus leading the way for big chances on goal in home games with 25. They are unbeaten there this season, winning four games as well as one draw.

Yoanne Wissa has been in impressive form since returning from injury and now has six goal involvements from six starts in this campaign. Five of those attacking returns have come at home, including a goal and an assist against Ipswich Town in Gameweek 9 for 10 points.

This week it’s Bournemouth turn to visit West London. They are without a clean sheet on the road in this campaign, conceding eight goals in five games. Wissa managed 11 FPL points the last time these two sides met in the Premier League.

Matheus Cunha vs Southampton (H)

Wolves favourable fixtures are finally here, with fellow strugglers Southampton visiting Molineux this weekend. Despite some tough games, Wolves have still managed to score a respectable 14 goals in ten games this season, with striker Matheus Cunha involved in five of those.

The last of my FPL tips this week, Cunha has racked up four goals and one assist in this campaign, continuing the trend from last season where he managed 19 goal involvements in 29 appearances. He should be first choice on penalties, and he has the routes to points, with 29 shots and eight big chances created.

Purchasing Cunha is a wise choice this week and for the longer term given his kind run of fixtures. Opponents Southampton have conceded eight goals in the last four gameweek’s and are without a clean sheet on the road this season.
