FPL General is back with a round of FPL tips for Gameweek 18, as they pick the best midfielders for under £6 million.
As the festive period runs its course, managers on FPL are searching for ways to pick up points and looking for hidden gems.
There are the obvious selections for midfielders with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Cole Palmer and Bukayo Saka, but there are some cheaper options who could accumulate several points in GW18.
Below are the top five midfield options for GW18 and the festive period in general.
FPL GW18 Tips: Best Midfielders Under £6m
1 – Ismaila Sarr (£5.7m)
The Crystal Palace star has started to find his feet under Oliver Glasner and has contributed to five goals in his last six appearances for the Eagles (3G+2A).
Eberechi Eze has been hampered by a foot injury as of late, meaning Sarr has needed to step up and Palace’s upcoming fixtures are rather tempting.
The Eagles travel to Bournemouth in GW18 and then face Southampton, Chelsea, Leicester, West Ham and Brentford in the following fixtures.
2 – Amad Diallo (£5.3m)
Another interesting option is Manchester United’s Amad Diallo, who has been a bright spark in a rather bleak season for the Red Devils.
His last-minute winner against Manchester City highlighted the huge threat the Ivorian possesses and the youngster also created four chances in the 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
At £5.3m the former Sunderland loanee could be a shrewd selection as United face a struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers in GW18.
3 – Morgan Rogers (£5.3m)
Morgan Rogers stole the show in Aston Villa’s latest Premier League victory, contributing with a goal and assist in a 2-1 win over Manchester City.
The 22-year-old has accumulated 75 points on FPL so far after five goals, three assists and nine bonus points – meaning he is likely to feature in Villa’s starting eleven each week.
The Villains do face a difficult task in GW18, as they travel up to Newcastle but the following fixtures are less frightening with home matches against Brighton and Leicester.
4 – Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m)
Coming in at fourth we have Bournemouth star, Antoine Semenyo, who scored his fifth goal of the season during the Cherries’ 3-0 win over Manchester United.
The Ghanaian has made 67 attempts at goal in the Premier League which is more than any other midfielder this season – highlighting his desire to score and involvement in Bournemouth’s attacks.
Bournemouth’s next three league fixtures are extremely tempting, as they welcome Crystal Palace in GW18, travel to Fulham in GW19 and host Everton in GW20.
5 – Enzo Fernandez (£5.1m)
Finally we have Enzo Fernandez, who has started to show why the Blues paid around £100m for his services back in 2023 January transfer window .
The 23-year-old has contributed to seven goals in his last seven league appearances (3G+4A) and has been given a more advanced role under Enzo Maresca.
Fernandez has accumulated 43 points in his last six league appearances (7.1pts per game average) and the Blues have an enticing run of fixtures as they play Fulham (H), Ipswich (A), Crystal Palace (A), Bournemouth (H) and Wolves (H).
