Gianni Buttice (@giannibuttice) is back with his latest set of FPL attacking tips ahead of Gameweek 12. This week, he focuses on three forwards for the weekend and beyond.
FPL Attacking Tips For GW12: Trio Of Forwards Who Could Bag Serious Points
Three attackers to buy that no one is talking about. With the busy festive season around the corner, we are mainly shopping for FPL assets that are reliable 90 minute men for their team week in, week out.
These Three players that probably aren’t getting the attention they deserve need more respect. All are firmly on my watch list.
Because of their historical injury problems many managers will swerve them. But whilst they’re fit they’re excellent picks.
Alexander Isak (£8.5m)
Alexander Isak started the season in around 50% of FPL teams and is now sub 20% owned. With six goal contributions so far and a good run of fixtures there are plenty of reasons to punt on the Swede.
Newcastle has had back-to-back wins versus Arsenal and Nottingham Forest. This has seen Isak net 20 FPL points and with four very good looking fixtures against West Ham, Crystal Palace, Leicester and Ipswich in their next six games, the upside is there for the forward.
Team structure might hinder some moving to Isak. Who doesn’t come cheap at 8.5 million but if you’re a Haaland seller or happy finding the extra funds from the wealth of good cheap forwards out there then the Newcastle front man will surely be a differential in your mini league.
Pedro Neto (£6.2m)
Pedro Neto is Chelsea’s first choice wide man, make no doubt about that. Jadon Sancho’s absence saw the Portuguese star given starts in the league. Now he has played his way in to the first XI with a string of excellent performances.
Starting on the left side, Neto has been finishing on his preferred right side and whilst Noni Madueke sees early subs, Neto has stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes in the last three games where he has one goal and one assist to his name.
Fast, direct, good on both feet and loves a ball in behind, he is a Maresca style winger and if he stays fit he’s starting the majority of games throughout the festive period.
Chelsea are top of the fixture ticker and have some great big ceiling games coming up. Do note, Neto is on four yellow cards. One more and he picks up a one game ban but that wouldn’t deter me.
Joao Pedro (£5.4m)
João Pedro is back fit and the main man in this Brighton team. Somehow priced under 5.5 million, he’s arguably the bargain of the season.
Fitness is his only concern with just three starts this season. However, he is now available and we can expect him to be a permanent fixture in this exciting, front foot Seagulls team.
The Brazilian has three goals and one assist so far. He also takes penalties and faces a great fixture run over the festive season which includes Southampton, Leicester, Crystal Palace and West Ham all before Christmas Day.
