Fozball has Manly stalwart leaning towards playing on

Jake Trbojevic has revealed that he is "definitely" leaning towards playing on in 2027, but is yet to make an official decision on his future.

Now into his 14th NRL season, the forward has an option in his current contract to activate one more campaign at the Sea Eagles.

Trbojevic says that the team's success and mood since interim coach Kieran Foran took the reins is inspiring his thinking.

"Having Foz take over, it's been a really breath of fresh air and the month of footy we've put together makes life a lot easier," Trbojevic said.

"I think any time you have a few wins, it settles the weight off the shoulders.

"It makes life a lot easier to come to training and work hard."

The 32-year-old is closing in on 250 NRL games for Manly, a milestone that he is on track to achieve in round 10 at Brookvale's 4 Pines Park against Brisbane.

Despite starring for the Sea Eagles, NSW and Australia throughout his storied career, Trbojevic is wary of becoming an unwelcome presence at the club.

"I just want to make a good decision for both me and the club," Trbojevic said.

"I don't want to be a burden."

Although the veteran had a quiet start to the year, he opened the scoring with a try in the second minute of the win over Parramatta, the club's fourth consecutive victory.

Teammate and younger brother Tom believes that Jake can definitely still be an asset on the Northern Beaches.

"He's definitely playing some of his best footy and really enjoying himself," Tom said.

"We all know what he's capable of and it's great that he's showing everyone that."
