A fourth individual has been arrested in connection with a sickening assault on two gardáí in Ballyfermot, Dublin, in the early hours of this morning.
A video of the incident is circulating on social media and shows two garda members being targeted by a number of people outside a pub. One garda can be seen sustaining a number of punches and kicks to the head in the sick clip.
Gardaí have now arrested a third man in his 40s in relation to the public order and assault incident having earlier arrested two other men and a woman.

The woman, in her 50s, arrested in relation this incident has been charged and released from custody. She is scheduled to appear before the CCJ at a later date.
The two male suspects, aged 50s and 30s, remain in custody at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
In an update to the Irish Mirror, a garda spokesperson said: "The two Garda members assaulted during the course of this incident have now been discharged from hospital.
"Both members are receiving support from their colleagues and local Garda Management and the wider Organisational Supports of the Peer Support Service, Chief Medical Officer and 24hour counselling service have been provided if required."
Investigations are ongoing.
