A man was rushed to hospital with a head injury after a 'totally unprovoked' attack by four teenagers in East Kilbride.
At around 11.30pm on Friday, a 20-year-old man was walking along a footpath near to a shop on Old Coach Road, East Kilbride, when the four teenagers, aged between 15 and 16, approached him and assaulted him.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

The four male youths ran off in the direction of The Village, East Kilbride. They are described as white, with slim builds and wearing dark-coloured track suits.
Officers have been checking for relevant CCTV footage and carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
Detective Constable Steven Totten said: “This has been a totally unprovoked attack and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us. Did you see the attack or did you notice four youths running off around the time the crime occurred. Any small piece of information could be vital to our investigation so please pass it on. I would also ask any motorists with dash cams to check their footage if they were in the area that night.”
