Four Rajasthan districts report zero Covid cases in 24 hours

JAIPUR: As daily Covid cases continued to fall, four districts did not report even a single case on Tuesday.

Bundi, Jalore, Karauli, Sirohi did not report a single Covid case in the past 24 hours. On Monday, six districts did not report a single new infection which were Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Jalore, Hanumangarh, Chittorgarh and Bharatpur.

Highest number of cases were reported from Jaipur (191), Banswara (50), Nagaur (36), Bikaner (32), Alwar (31), Kota (22) and Bhilwara (21), seven districts collectively reported 383 cases in 24 hours, accounting for 62.1% of the cases reported in the state.

The state reported 616 new Covid cases in 24 hours bringing its overall tally to 12,75,989. Three persons died too, taking the toll to 9,530. One death each was reported from Sikar, Ajmer and Barmer.

For the six days in a row, the state has been witnessing less than 10 deaths daily. In six days, 36 Covid deaths have been reported in the state, the average daily deaths in six days were six.

The active cases in the state decreased from 8,587 to 7,518. Jaipur reported 202 Covid cases. Active cases in Jaipur have decreased from 2,583 to 2,449 in 24 hours. Jalore has the lowest number of active cases, where 12 persons are undergoing treatment for covid.The state reported 1,682 covid patients been declared recovered in 24 hours. The number of persons recovered from covid were more than the daily new infection.
