NEW DELHI: Thieves decamped with over Rs 6 lakh from an ATM in southwest Delhi's Mitraun village on Friday. Four men broke into a Central Bank of India ATM in and took away the cash after cutting open the machine with gas cutters and other equipment, police said. An FIR has been registered at Baba Haridas Nagar police station.
No security guard was deployed at the ATM at the time of the incident. "As per the information provided by the bank, the ATM had a total of Rs 6.4 lakh at the time of incident. Multiple teams have been formed to nab the accused and a breakthrough is expected soon," said a senior officer.
