Snow and high winds have battered Britain today with more set to follow in the coming days.

Heavy wind and blustery snow showers have been battering Scotland and Northern Ireland this morning with more set to come later in the week, the Met Office has warned.

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice saw travel disruption as roads and motorways in Scotland were hit with blizzards overnight.
