Four In A Bed viewers call out 'scandalous' behaviour of couple after sausage row

Channel 4 has been the one to beat when it comes to producing addictive reality shows - with the likes of The Great British Bake-Off, Gogglebox, and Four In A Bed being the most-watched shows in 2020.

On last nights episode, the competitors travelled to The Greyhound Hotel in Cromford, Derbyshire.

According to the blurb, hosts "Tina and Danielle blow their guests away with the comfy beds, but a trickle of traffic leads to some rude awakenings."

With contestants clashing over the flavour of a sausage, to the sound of traffic racing past their window at night, it all seems like petty stuff to argue about - but Channel 4 viewers lap it up every single time!

On Wednesday nights episode, Cara and Vicky from The Royal Hotel in Essex were expecting a tight, organised place from Tina and Danielle.

Danielle revealed the night before that she actually had a degree in policing, before she got into hospitality, so Cara said: "I feel the police are a very tight, organised style of people, so I think that's definitely going to play out in their hotel."

Vicky said: " I definitely think it'll be a tidy hotel."

All of the guests then get to scoping out their rooms, from running their fingers along crevices to find dust, to even checking behind wardrobes and cabinets for dirt.

All three B&B owner groups were in agreement that the beds were really soft, but some guests weren't so happy.

Dave said: "It's probably one of the softest beds I've ever lay on and not in a good way. I barely slept at all."

Pauline then complained about the closeness of the hotel to the busy main road: "I must've been woken up by the traffic by at least five, quarter past five in the morning."

Fellow guest Lez said: "I really did drop into a really deep sleep, then all of a sudden I heard beeping outside then all I could hear was trucks and lorries."

This was reflected in the scores, with Lez scoring the sleep just a SIX in his review, and the hosts were baffled by their responses.

Danielle said: "I'm actually so confused, two of them said they wouldn't stay again, I just don't get it."

And there was even more drama - SausageGate! When reading Cara and Vicky's review from their stay, Tina got to the breakfast portion of the letter, where they were rated an 8.

Vicky had wrote: "Presented lovely, great drinks selection. The BEST hash browns! Bacon was overcooked, sausages lacking flavour."

As Tina read the last part, she exclaimed: "That's a joke!"

Danielle then defended their food, saying: "Never in our five years here have we had a bad review of our breakfast or our sausages, I'm really gobsmacked."

Tina agreed, replying: "I'm gobsmacked too, I know."

One Twitter user wrote: "The drama on Four in a Bed is actually scandalous."

Another said: "There's nothing bitchier on this planet than Four In A Bed. NOTHING."

And a third tweet read: "the mother on #FourInABed last night reacted badly even when she got 8/9s off people and good comments."

Further comments read: "There’s no much thing as constructive criticism on #fourinabed every negative comment is perceived as a personal attack!!", and "Ooh she can dish it out but can not take criticism #fourinabed."

Thursday is payment day for the competitors, meaning one hotel will be crowned the best value for money across the week.

You can tune in to find out the winner of this weeks Four In A Bed on Channel 4 from 5pm tonight!
