More than 400 cannabis plants were recovered and two men were arrested following police raids. The shocking discovery was made following the two raids in Aberavon.
Officers from South Wales Police executed two planned warrants, one in Water Street and the other in Gwyn Terrace. Following the police activity, on Monday, October 17, two 28-year-old men were arrested and over 400 cannabis plants were recovered.
The force has since urged people to come forward if they suspect people in their area are dealing drugs. Inspector Andy Matthews said: “We know only too well how devastating drug-related crime can be on our communities and that is why we are determined to take action to disrupt those who think the area is a soft target." He added: “It’s important to remember though that we couldn’t do this proactive work without the support of our communities. You can help by trusting your instincts and making us aware of suspicious activity or concerns you have. Your reports help us build a picture of where we need to target our action and by working together, we can help tackle this problem.”
