'Not me': best friend denies role in train track death

The best friend of Mark Haines has denied any involvement in the Indigenous teenager's death on train tracks, telling the bereaved family: "I hope you get answers, I really do."

A lengthy inquest has been re-examining the mysterious death of the 17-year-old, whose body was found on the tracks south of Tamworth, in northern NSW, 37 years ago.
