Tragedy struck St. Lucie County as four individuals lost their lives due to tornadoes spawned by Hurricane Milton, according to county officials. The devastating tornadoes touched down prior to the arrival of the hurricane on Wednesday, October 9, starting around 4:30 p.m.
First responders and public works/utility crews are actively engaged in response and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the natural disaster. The St. Lucie Medical Examiner has officially confirmed the four fatalities resulting from these tornadoes.
