Four children received life support after falling into a lake near Birmingham, ambulance services have confirmed.
Emergency services attended the scene at Babbs Mill Lake in Solihull earlier this afternoon after reports of a number of people falling into the water. Speaking at a press conference this evening, fire chiefs confirmed the casualties had been children playing on the icy lake.
The children remain in critical condition after being rushed to hospital in cardiac arrest. Police say they are 'doing everything we can support all those involved'.
