Incumbent Commissioner Ashley Esposito, incumbent Commissioner Kwame Kenyatta-Bey, Jamar Day, and Domonique Flowers are running in the general election for two at-large seats on the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners on Nov. 3, 2026. Elected commissioners serve four-year terms.
The four candidates who received the most votes in the primary election on June 23, 2026, advanced to the general election. Esposito received 25.6% of the vote, Flowers received 18.3%, Kenyatta-Bey received 17.4%, and Day received 11.6%.
This general election is the second ever for seats on the board, following the 2022 general election. The elections happened after the Maryland General Assembly passed a bill in 2016 allowing voters to elect two of the 12 commissioners on the board. The mayor of Baltimore appoints nine other commissioners, and high school students elect one of their peers to serve as a student commissioner. Esposito and Kenyatta-Bey won the 2022 general election for the two seats.
