A community has raised more than enough money for four boys aged from five to 21 to buy their own home after both their parents died of cancer within four months. Elaine Clifford died at the end of August last year, the day before her 41st birthday, shortly after being diagnosed with stage four cancer.
Her husband Padraig started to feel unwell weeks later and was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. He died aged 46 on January 25 this year leaving behind sons Patrick 21, Jack 14, Andrew 8 and Conor 5.
Now their community has launched a fundraising campaign to ensure the boys can buy and continue to live in their own home in Milltown, County Kerry, reports the Irish Mirror.
