Four men have been arrested after a man in his 60s was stabbed to death in Walthamstow, police say.

Officers were called to an address on Westbury Road, Walthamstow, just before 9pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, police found a man with stab wounds to his chest.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are in the process of informing his next-of-kin.

Four men, two aged in their 20s and two in their 50s, were arrested later that evening on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.

The investigation is being led by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, leading the investigation, said: “We are working around the clock to understand exactly what led to this man’s murder.

“While four men have now been arrested, this remains an early-stage investigation and we still need information from the public.

“If you saw or heard anything, or have any details that could assist us, please come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting CAD 7109/20FEB.
